Melissa

The name Melissa has a Greek origin and means "Honeybee". This is my story.

The vital role the honeybee plays in nature is a pollinator - transferring assets (pollen) between one organism (flowers) to another.  And that is how I’ve come to see my role.  Fully activating my superpower.

As an enabler, of change.

I have dedicated my life to work. Travelling the world, and exploring both diverse cultures, companies, and industries. Learning about how people interact with their vocation is my mission.  My purpose, is helping people find work to love.

Over the decades, I have discovered that finding worthy work — is one of the most complex challenges we face in life.  Like a garden, our work has seasons. We put down roots in soil early, and our survival is dependent on the resources we receive.

As we grow, we see the garden around us. The design of our garden dictates our ability to survive. Some of us are trees  - and we are better suited staying in one, a dense constant forrest.  Some are pot-plants designed to be nurtured, and stay on the move.  Some of us are flowers - seasonal and regenerative.  Whomever we are, choosing the right ecosystem, is critical to both survival, and our greatest successes.

Life by design mimics nature.  It’s a constant cycle of learning and adaptation. My work has been greatly inspired by three philosophies; Design Thinking, Biomimicry, and Hope Theory. And so, my life has been influenced, adapted and changed.

Growth, requires resources.  I enable some, that are necessary to flourish. This is where I store them. My honeypot.
